How amazing that Walt Disney said these words decades ago...and these words couldn't be more true today! As many states get ready to reopen, those of us in real estate are about to get busy! In many markets, springtime is the busiest time of the year for home sales. Pent up demand from a few months of uncertainty may be about to give way to a mad rush in some markets.
While you may have seen some reluctance for people to list or buy with stay-at-home orders in place, people still need to move - which means they still need us to be there for them.
Make sure your sphere hears from you now and that they know 3 key things:
1. You care about their needs (our business is personal): call, email or even send a video text (free & already part of your text/sms function on your phone) to see if they're doing ok, their families are healthy, and they're not losing their minds.
2. You're up to date with market conditions: be ready with a few simple stats, such as how many homes were listed over the last month, did the average days on market change, and how many closings were there in the last 10 days.
3. You're still in business (even if it's not business as usual): It's ok to let people know that things might look a little different, but you ARE still there for them and able to assist. Instead of in-person meetings, you can be ready to offer Zoom & FaceTime calls, for example.
